Pick an income generating Niche
This page will show you how to pick a niche for your site using only Google Addword and Cherry Picker free software. There are dozens of websites going into great detail on the topic and research is always good but for a kickstart download Wordtrackers free book from here Keyword Research.
As an example from the little icon on the page the first keyword I thought of was "reef diving" let's examine if there are any possibilities there. Using Google -https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal -I looked up my keyword
Results
You can see there are only about 740 searches daily on this term. But with the right affilliates think travel tours etc it might be proffitable after all and if you are passionate about the sport and reguarly travel and take pictures - for articles- it might be perfect for you.
Now using Cherry Picker lets check out the competition
The links marked in red are the sites you could possibly challenge for front spot the only worrying detail is the high page rank of most of the sites.
As you can see you will have to register a domain name with your keywords included preferably for at least three years and a static I.P. address to help with page rank.
Using the tools and methods described in our backlinks page you could easily get the required amount of links and by having a passion for the sport and regularly adding articles it would be quite possible to dominate this niche and benefit from the free targeted traffic flowing your way.
